Audrey Rodesch

Tell us a little about your background.

I distinguish myself by several years of experience as a work and organizational psychologist in the field of professional evaluation and integration, as well as as a case manager in professional and social counseling. I also have some initial leadership skills as a team leader and worked for more than two years as a consultant in project management in the field of staff surveys and HR consulting. Thanks to my professional orientation and interests, I have been able to work with people from different professions and cultures in recent years and I was able to grow humanly and professionally through all these meetings.

Why are you interested in the theme of health at work?

As a food-conscious person and sports enthusiast, I personally have a great affinity with health and prevention topics. It is important for me to deepen this theme in my professional context and to be able to convey my enthusiasm to other people. For me, health at work means much more than height-adjustable workstations or the famous fruit basket at the entrance – it’s about balance, alertness and an environment that promotes physical and mental well-being. New Work”, digitalisation, home office – our world of work is changing rapidly. I want to help shape how we can stay healthy. I am particularly interested in how physical, psychological and social factors interact and how this knowledge can be put into practice in companies for the benefit of employees and employers.

What motivates you the most in your work ?

Health is the basis of everything, which is why the preventive approach particularly interests me: Promoting health before illness appears. Although we are already investing a lot, I am convinced that it is still possible to make things change in the work environment. And that’s what motivates me daily. As a curious person, I like to learn new things and pass on this knowledge, support and advise people with passion in their actions, always with the aim of making things happen where possible. As an occupational health specialist, I will commit to helping companies and teams create work environments and conditions that take into account needs and well-being.to be people – because it is only when employees feel valued and healthy that they can give their best.

What values are particularly important to you ?

Honesty, trust, respect, open-mindedness, reliability, concern and helpfulness, collegiality

What do you do in your free time to recharge your batteries ?

I seek balance in sports activities like tennis, cycling, running, hiking or jogging, spending time with my family and watching my son “discover the world” and being inspired by it, in the kitchen while baking or simply having an aperitif with my partner and/or friends. And many other things:-)

Your advice for staying healthy ?

A little of everything, but never too much, exceptions are the rule, and very important: always plan enough “me-time”, even if it is only short sequences, and put them into practice.

Which adjectives best describe you ?

Authentic, with a sense of humor, perseverant, emphatic, interested, greedy, active and caring.

For vacations: do you prefer the sea, the mountains or the city ?

I prefer to combine the sea and the mountains: I can thus relax on the beach, enjoy the sea air and swim while putting on my hiking shoes, go to discover mountain landscapes, their fauna and flora, and maybe in the evening, I will still have enough time to take a well-deserved dive into the sea.

Do you prefer sweet or savory ?

It’s a very difficult question, but if I have to choose, it will rather be the salty one because it’s always good: at breakfast, dinner, aperitif, supper or even late in the evening on my way home with a kebab 😉

Are you an early riser or a night owl ?

Early-riser – since September, thanks to my son Jano. But before that I have always been an early riser who appreciated the freshness of the morning. In other words, I am an early-riser out of conviction – I love the silence of the morning and the magic of the world that slowly awakens, whether it is drinking the morning coffee in the kitchen, jogging in the morning or, in summer, diving alone into the still untouched Limmat.

Is there a quote that inspires you ?

The two quotes come from Pippi Longstocking :

« I’ve never tried this before, so I’m completely sure I can do it. »

« Don’t wait for people to smile at you… show them how to do it. »
