Hervine Siegwart
FSM Mediator
French
I have always had a strong interest in human relations and communication. This led me to work with people suffering from cognitive disorders as a result of illnesses or brain injuries (speech therapist – neuropsychologist).
Because I enjoy listening to others and helping people express themselves and reconnect through dialogue – often hindered by tensions and conflicts – I turned to mediation. I have been practising this profession since 2012.
I have developed strong interpersonal skills (listening, empathy, understanding my own emotions and those of others, patience), as well as abilities in synthesis and ease in oral communication.
As a mediator, I have integrated the ethical principles of impartiality and neutrality in relation to the parties involved in mediation.
The Native American saying “Marche ta parole” (from the English Walk your talk), which advocates integrity, truth, and coherence between our words and actions, resonates deeply with me.
